VistaC and connection to Powerbook

VistaC and connection to Powerbook

I have a Garmin ETrex Vista C running software version 2.7. I am trying to connect via USB to my Powerbook running OS 10.4.11 (there is no serial connector). I am unable to make this connection using Garmin Webconnect, Mac Simple GPS, GPSBabel. Is it possible for this unit to connect? It seems that it is possible with older Vista units so I don't understand this.
